Drinking in a beautiful place. Pure and transparent with enough sanguine structure to pair well with hunk of steak I threw against it.

Glad I waited to open; it's In a great Rhone-like place. Pure.

Way young, lots of sharp tannins until decanted, then mellowed and gained depth. Give it another couple of years.

So much charming Old World character on the nose but quite austere on the palate. Should resolve into something beautiful in a couple years.

When I rated this wine about a year and a half ago, I said it had potential, but that the elements needed to knit together. I'm happy to report that those elements are coming together nicely now. Very solid QPR on a clean, elegant, harmonious Syrah.
