2014 vintage. My first from this producer. This is seriously interesting wine. I'd recommend cellar temp (I had it closer to room temp). And the first notes were pretty classic zinfandel fruit with a slight savory bent and elevated tannins. Most lovingly notable is how incredibly balanced the wine is--everything works in harmony. And though I might not have chose to pair it with pozole, it did surprising well. Texturally a masterpiece, flavorful and fruit focused in an interesting moderated way. Worth the splurge.

A zin that is a partner with food not a combatant. Love the understated boldness.
