A massive Ravera... rich without too much oak, ample tannins, darker fruits. Even though this is a 2013, it needs some time in the cellar. Update: Drinking even better on Day 2. This is a blockbuster Barolo. Can I save any for Day 3?

Fresh mint and orange peel through and through, bolstered by fresh herbs and stony minerality. Elevated to high acid, elevated tannins and body.

Fantastic with incredible texture and unity now but forget your own it for at least a few years

2022/4. There’s a lot going on here - dark, deep, bitter cherry, roasted tar and spices, high-toned bursts of rose - in different layers at different times. The tannin is pretty evident and powdery, even for a traditional Barolo, but there’s so much to enjoy that you get past it.

First tried at 2 hours decanting - quite right. At 7 hours much more open. Big berries hit you on the nose and front palate. Woody and tobacco next. Tannic. Long finish.

A powerhouse. Heavy on the tannin. But will pay you back with age.

Excellent right off the cork. Bold beginning with a smooth finish. No specific flavors but an overall enjoyable red.
