Ravera Barolo Nebbiolo
Barolo, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy
A massive Ravera... rich without too much oak, ample tannins, darker fruits. Even though this is a 2013, it needs some time in the cellar. Update: Drinking even better on Day 2. This is a blockbuster Barolo. Can I save any for Day 3?

Fresh mint and orange peel through and through, bolstered by fresh herbs and stony minerality. Elevated to high acid, elevated tannins and body.

Fantastic with incredible texture and unity now but forget your own it for at least a few years

The tannin is pretty evident and powdery, even for a traditional Barolo, but there’s so much to enjoy that you get past it.
