Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

A nice cab, but did not measure up to its younger sister ‘15. More tannic. More complex. Will be a good wine in several years time.

nose takes a bit of coaxing but what's revealed & on palate is BIG & surprisingly dark in the spectrum ~ one to watch for...decades to come

Very good right now (Nov 2019) but will definitely improve over the next few years. Still a bit tannic but explosive black and blue fruit aromas and flavors along with mint, and earthy flavors. I'd hold for another year or two but no rush in drinking.

Showing a lot more age than it should at 10 years old.

Dark cherry notes, very smooth once opened up

Solid year in and year out.

Tight but you still get a generous amount of fruit and oak. Layered with blue and red fruit, spice, oak, and toast. Has been open about an hour and needs more time. Probably should have waited to open it. I'm guessing my rating will improve.
