Ultradition Brut Champagne Blend

I’ve had quite a few Laherte Freres champagnes (love the Les Grande Crayeres and the Les Beaudiers rosé), but just recently finally tried this Ultradition. Disgorged 6/2020.
As expected due to Aurelien’s love of the varietal, this is 60 meunier, 30 Chardonnay and 10 Pinot noir. 40% reserves utilized, and 6-8g dosage. For me, meunier has this distinct “gummy” note…like fruit snacks, and plenty of apple. Pours bright yellow in the glass. Aromas of apple crumble pie, golden delicious apple, hint of yeast, and grilled lemon. Rich on the palate but not overly so. Cardamom, more baked apple, honey and limestone at the finish. A little bit here for everyone.

Love this Lah-hairt Frair sham-pane. A smidge more dosage at around 7 grams/liter. Nice balance of texture and tension.

Quite chalky, mineraly. Apple and lime. Another review said this had a “gummy” note and I think that’s spot on. Not my favorite champagne I’ve had but nice to try. Disgorged 2021

Лимонный леденец, антоновка, сухой лайм, алоэ, щавель, белая корочка. Энергично и интенсивно, с ярким цитрусовым концентратом, хрустящей кислотностью и бодрым тонусом. Контрастно, просто и односложно, но живо и неутомительно.

Лимон, багет, чуть фармацевтики. Вкусно, свежо, гармонично, живо, но без «ах».
