Garnet edges with a ruby core. A bit funky on the nose with some cigar wraps, minerality, spices and damp tobacco. Medium tannins (5.5/10) with balanced acidity and medium to medium plus body. Dry palate with dried cherries, leather, stoniness throughout, damp forest floor and a bit metallic at the end. Medium plus to long finish. Will wait a few more years before trying again at least. Lovely nose with dark fruits and touch of licorice. On the palate, blackberries and rich fruits, totally smooth, dry, touch of minerality, very light tannins, lingering finish.
