Intoxicating scents of red and blue fruits with earthy notes fighting to come thru. A brief moment of nervousness when it enters your mouth and you wonder if this is going to overwhelm. However like a great sports car another gear shows up and its structure keeps all under control. Wonderful red fruits and a savory earthiness that lingers on the tongue. A classy wine with Burgundian undertones.

Day 1 this was a little tight, but still expressive in a pretty and elegant way like a great Vosne, soft and firm at the same time with red fruits and spice.
Day 2 was like a Chambolle with a deeper expression and a more defined presence, velvety texture, with heightened red fruits, sweet spices and more minerality.

Best amongst many great wines I have had from Sicily by #iconic producer @ariannaocchipinti

If you have been following along I have been on a tear with Sicily the last year between Etna and Cerasuolo. 🌋🌋🌋

Bright cherry fruit. Acidity and tartness like a crisp jam.

Savory, charred red and black fruit, marjoram and dried sage. Inky yet light and lifted, great balance.
