Lovely smooth wine that complements food perfectly.

Damn sexy stuff and wide open already. Sangiovese for the win. Irresistible stuff.

Well made and almost ready to drink. Soft tannins already.

Brooding fruit and sweet tannins frame plums and macerared cherries with spice notes on the finish. Rather direct, but will gain momentum in another few years.

This was in better shape than the last one, decanted and opened up a bit. Nice classic flavors, good balance and acidity.

Maybe the first Brunello I didn’t really agree with. More like a Chianti, tart fruit (cranberry and pomegranate) run into a wall of earthy resistance. Subtler notes flit about the edges, but overall the dirt dominates this wine.

This was in great shape, and was delicious with the aged NY strip steak. Better than the last one I opened.

My second bottle and I stand by my say; second day is a winner. Great member of the Brunello family. Not the best I had but pretty darn good!! Good with ricotta based meals - strong meats will kill it!
