Initially, globs of lemon rind that gradually give way to the usual: green apple, grapefruit, etc. There's a spicy tarragon element at the backend that I can't quite wrap my head around. But enough of the surgical dissecting! This is classic village Chablis--by a terrific domaine in a great year--that beautifully compliments a bowl of steamed mussels before me. The wine by itself is 8.7. With food an easy 8.8+. Life is good. (Review: November, 2017)
Pulled the last bottle from the cellar today; January, 2019. Previous notes still in play with the added bonus of a wine greatly fleshed out from its previous youthful notes. A joyous tasting arch.
