Napa Valley Gewürztraminer

Pretty wine - nice aromatics but bone dry.

A great example!!!!

While, my experience buying this wine at Flatiron Wine and Spirits here in the city was less than desirable (Staff needs to get up off their butts, walk away from their computers and actually engage customers who are eager to explore this well-curated store!) Me want more of this wine! Now I know why Kenneth is so obsessed with them!

An inferior vintage

Super minerality and even a wee tad of salinity in the background. A little tamer than Gewürztraminers from Alsace, but as all things Stony Hill, so wonderful.

Simple, enjoyable on the palette

Pretty, aromatic nose. Slightly thin, but zippy and enjoyable.

Orange blossom, ripe pear and Meyer lemon on the aromas. Silky texture on the palate with flavors of pear, kiwi, pineapple and a nice hint of citrus. Beautiful dry white wine with bright acidity and low alcohol. I did enjoy this wine with a Romaine house salad with shrimps an a ligth vinaigrette dressing, just delicious!
