Chianti Classico Sangiovese

From 375mL. Very clean, great tannin and texture. Loving the sour cherry, cassis and mouth watering acidity.

2011: Immediacy is the sensation of this wine on your palate. Everything as it should be, with bright flavors encountered, yet with an exciting depth of fruit. This is a delight of a Chianti Classico, which charms with each sip.

I've had this wine probably 15 times and this is the first bottle that has disappointed (hence the decent score). Seemed both slightly cooked and slightly reduced, oddly enough.

More in the rustic traditional style of Chianti Classico. I preferred it to the previous modern western style. Earthy and savoury - from magnum. Great food wine.

The way C Classico should be. Purely red fruit, rose petals, earthy minerality, cedar and tobacco oak. Medium to light bodied, fresh and acidic, sour red cherry, cranberry and and a lovely long dusty oak finish. Good purity

Perhaps a little monolithic and a little hot. But like the focus and cleanliness.

Vino vino

A half-hour decant served it well. Began to collapse around third hour but by then the Pasta all’Amatricana was well tucked away.

Love this Chianti. Organic grapes, 14.5%. Bought a half bottle @ Eataly
