Absolutely incredible after about 25 mins …deep cherry, rich mid palate, with herbs/floral notes…touch of balsamic, oregano, nothing overshadowed other elements…incredibly well balanced…need more of these in my life..

Chianti Classico DOCG 2008, 13,5% made from organic grapes. A good glass of the ever popular wine, nose not very complex, good in the mouth, probably better if paired with a Tuscan meaty dish.

Took an hour or two, but this opened up beautifully. My favorite of the Fontodi wines, so many subtle earth, mineral flavors without the bigger, riper fruit of Flaccianollo.
