A standout for me in over 1800+ wines I have rated. Something special about this wine.

Wish this wasn't as beautiful as it was. The flowers represent well the contents. Long life ahead. Open but on its way down.

Breathtaking. I'm so inexpressibly grateful to have had the chance to taste this. Was a little concerned we'd jumped the gun by 10+ years, but I'm thrilled to report that while it's got another half century of life in it, this wine has already shed enough baby fat and taken on enough secondary character to drink without compunction. It's still dense and chewy of course, but the quality of the tannin here is so mellifluously pure that I'm not about to apologize for enjoying it greedily. Petrichor, tobacco, cherry Ricola, menthol, and hoisin all make an appearance in an utterly beguiling nose. For a serralunga Barolo of this breeding at this age, the fruit and structure are downright inviting. I only wish I had more.

Quite an elegant Barolo with some depth and gorgeous fruit on the mid and back of the palate - quite dry but one of the better Barolo's I've had not as dry as most which I like :)

Wine has finesse. Nose is more floral than other barolos. Roundish wine with good acidity, medium tannin structure...
