Very refined. Displays celery inflection oft associated with 2011. As the wine becomes deeper and richer with air, any less desirable inflection is negligible. Excellent wine in a mediocre vintage.

2011 Clos St. Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin. Dinner w A&S. Didn’t decant and it was great, but next time, definitely note to decant.

May 25th, 20182011 Domaine Armand Rousseau Clos St. Jacques Gevrey Chambertin Burgundy. Opened while cooking dinner. Funky at first, hot and no finish. We were prepared for this to just be bad, but the wine changed markedly with a little bit of time. Lots of jammy red fruit, deep vanilla on the nose. Still very young, but we ended up really enjoying this wine.
