Sparkling Beaujolais (Gamay).

Bottled: 25 February 2014
Disgorged: 21 July 2015

Last of (4) bottles bought in 2016. Buy these and drink within a year or two from disgorgement. This bottle is in decline today, no longer fresh and lively, what I enjoy typically about this $24 bottle.

Toasted brioche, cooked pear, short finish, acidity faded. Nice bottle, but diminished.

Disgorged 9 October 2014, if I've had sparkling gamay before it was nothing like this, dead ringer for a blanc de noirs champagne, dry but incredibly rich and heavy, opulent, beyond serious wine for the price

WTF!?!? Sparkling Gamay from Beaujolais...oeil de perdrix color, fine mousse, then lots of brioche, pear in the nose. Presented blind; at least I guessed it was red grape. Wow!

Like a dry Lambrusco. Great with salty or earthy foods.
