Tasted blind... we're served three glasses from three brown bagged bottles. They all are similar in color: dark reddish tawny. This is rich and luscious with notes of red and black fruit, dark spices, some smoked meat, some warm earthy fruit pie and a little soy. Improved with air over the evening. By now we're on to the 1990 theme of the evening and these are clearly La La bottles, so which is this? I guess the 90 Mouline given its profile and that of the other two. For me this was the best of the three, although the La Turque was right there too.

Murky darker scarlet. Barely transparent in the glass. Wild nose with notes of black cherry, menthol, granite stone and earth. Incredibly rich and silky in the mouth. Everything is there, and in great balance. Still young. Still remembering the taste the next day.

Had this ready to go for our last meal in NYC but learned no outside wines allowed. So consumed before and after dinner. A shame since this was in a near perfect spot. Notes of red and black fruit, smoked meats and bacon, some anise and lots of spice. Silky and smooth in the mouth. Huge finish. Everything you want in a great bottle.

Extraordinarily powerful aromas of herbs, leather, and peppercorns with a beautifully opulent and sanguine mid palate. The finish just doesn't end! One of the best Rhones all year!

Hitting kalamata spots. Beautiful, time to drink in my opinion. Good balance point. Took about 45 minutes to really open up.

The most profound of the night's three La-La's, racy dark red fruit and that refined, feminine thing the La Moulines often show

1990 vintage. Decanted and tasted after one hour. Medium body. A shade darker than the 1990 La Turque tasted alongside. Deeper smoky, gamey nose. Meaty, gamey, smoky and beef broth/sous bois in the flavors. Super savory. This was phenomenal. Should be able to sustain this performance for the better part of a decade before noticeable drop off. Wowzers. Last tasted 3.24.23 with the same score. 3.15.24.

1990 vintage. Tasted two hours after decanting. Oodles of sed. Smoky and silken. Phenomenal. Plenty of great drinking left. WOTD. Haha. 3.24.23.
