IX Estate Napa Valley Syrah

Incredibly complex, rich and layered, notes of violets, black raspberry, blackberry, balsamic, savory herbs and a lingering finish

@David L Brought this and loads of laughter this week. You cannot have anything but a great time when he is on board. Phenomenal wine, classy, modern Syrah with the exact bouquet of Alban Reva but more polish and shine and less balls to the wall.

Smoky, bacon, rubbery, plum and ash, tobacco and licorice. Very integrated fruits and aromas. Very rich, intense mouth. Light tannins.

Too much au nez. Bien mieux équilibrée

Bacon fat, smoked, black olive salt, bittersweet fruit and pepper of first press olive oil. Luscious and meaty, in the zone with lamb rack and elk. Smokin, tad of blue fruit. Tad reductive, but hey, it's a good romp. Who buys these wines anymore though?

Very nice! I got animal fat right away on the nose but it blew off after 30 mins or so. Wonderful balance of fruit acid spices. This had a few more years left as well. What a treat and a great way to bring in 2020
