Grand Cru Classé en 1855 Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend

Forest floor aromas, leather, tobacco, very tertiary and very little primary fruit left. A hint of cedar and spice, without the classic Margaux perfume.The tannins are supple and fully resolved. This wine is more evolved that I would expect for the vintage, perhaps improper storage?

Whoa. Wow. This is absolutely gorgeous. "Classic" Brane Catenac at its best. Beautiful floral, graphite and blue fruit notes. Interestingly despite its traditional flavor, there's a much higher percentage of cab franc in here than normal.
