Better than expected for the price - a good value well aged fairly classic relatively silky Merlot dominated right bank Bordeaux. Maybe a touch of prune but not in an over the hill way. Still good acid to keep it together.

Kind of a Bordeaux novice, but this 2008 vintage is medium-light body, acidic, red cherry, cedar. Did not aerate; should have. It does open up after several glasses into plum notes; soft tannins.

Lighter body for a Bordeaux, maybe because of the age... black currant nose, strong tannic finish that lingers.
