This one is actually 68% Sonoma 32% Napa . ‘07 was ready to drink . Smooth, tobacco

Explosive nose of red fruits and earthy minerality. Cedar, vanilla, blackberries. Waves of flavor and a long finish. Wearing its age perfectly. As my wife says: yummy

Initially ignored (by us mortal people) due to its sonoma heritage , the ‘07 fruit showed it superiority and this wine was a bomb ! Right amount of fruit and strong flavors. Right hint of smokiness. Lovely wine.

Mostly have left cabs, but this feels so familiar and homey. Finish isn’t super long, but depth of chocolate flavors are fantastic.

2007 vintage. Oak. Needs time to resolve. Maybe in 5 years.
