Vieilles Vignes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Still a beast of a wine. Full bodied, meaty, peppery. A bit too much Robert Parker ?

Very lush wine, licorice, garigue, still extremely powerful but with very soft integrated tannins. Long burn perfectly at plateau.

My top wine in a blind tasting of 7 top Grenache wines. (French and America).

One of my fav houses for pure pleasure, it didn't disappoint even in its opulent, big fruited way.

One of my favorites of the night. Beautifully black fruit without going to the stewed side and great acidity.

Lightly earthy spiced nose, black currant, maybe stewed raspberries. Deep fruit, black cherry, blackberry, hint of chocolate. Super smooth, very fine tannins with a subtle finish.

Great CDP producer. The wine was very enjoyable.
