Dunn Vineyards
Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark red fruits, charcoal and rosemary. Tannins have melted away and acidity is well balanced. Not as deep and complex as the magnum I had a couple months back. Good but not great. Perhaps just an “off” bottle??

Dec 21st, 2016I've been storing this bottle for 5 years. Drinking it makes me regret that I didn't purchase a few of these in 2011. It seems to be 100% cab but tastes and feels like an old world blend. Sophisticated. Balanced. Velvety. Luxurious. It has a juicy berry, licorice opening with a medium nutty, peppery finish. It's perfect for drinking on its own. Very satisfying glass (or two) of California Red.
