Soft, clean, dark dark, ready but still not. This is a great vintage for this bold wine. Surprised not by it being so plump but for leaning out on the back so gracefully.

Needs a big time decant. Everything you’d want from a mature Napa Cab. Cassis, a bit of secondary leather , smoky goodness. Just delicious.

NYE 2017 wine
Wow! Kinda at a lost for words on this one...its a huge wine but not too over powering or tannic. Balanced with big dark fruits, and chocolate. Decanted for an hour.

Have had this same wine twice before. 5 years ago, it was one of the best wines I had at the time - was drinking beautifully. 1-2 years ago, was very nice but not as impressionable. Last night, this was big, jammy, creamy, dark chocolately, velvety.... but didn't have the ripeness, focus, dark fruit core, or fresh spice I remember. Possibly corked? Where's @Marcus Marquez when you need him...

Aug 26th, 2017A stunning wine. An authentic representation of what I consider must be one of the most beautiful wine growing areas with incredibly endowed terroir of the world. Admittedly not in its ideal drinking window but this baby has a long wick to burn.
