Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Grapefruit, lemon, lovely. Great QPR.

Here I am in the excellent regional NZ lounge in ZQN and they have not one but 3 NZ Sauvignon Blancs in the fridge. This is pleasant with fruitiness and some acidity. Nice balanced earthiness makes this a pleasant wine.

2021, so shiny and new, but still obviously a Marlborough Sauv, berries and really crisp. 9 quid in Tesco 👌

Grass, citrus, granite — so good!!

Grassy Sauvignon Blanc, with little fruit. This cheap Sauvignon Blanc has little to offer.

Crisp citrus, delicious. Had with stir fry honey, soy, ginger and chilli.

I liked it more this time because I knew what to expect. Still, wouldn’t be one I’d choose given other SB options.

WineText. July 2020. A strange Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc: “aged in French cigar barrels for 11 months”. I usually pick a Sauvignon Blanc for its crisp citrus. This one is more complex than I expect a Marborough Sauvignon Blanc to be... and not in a way I want.

Lots of acidity. Very bright. Crisp citrus notes

Very unique refreshing summer white. Tons of citrus. Great value.
