Label art is a bit New Age. Blue is nice tho. I like blue. Color of wine š· is darker than that emoji by a number of shades of purple. Smells like rocks in water, mineral oils and cherry syrup. Flavors are barrel heavy. Vanilla shit. Tons of ācedarā. Toffee and sawdust. Lots of barrel flavors. In fact I donāt really taste much fruit. Hint of berry-cherry. This is why CA has messed up the Syrah trajectory, fat, over-oaked, uninspired wines that have nothing of fruit. Just a disappointing Syrah all around.

A nice wine which can be found at Trader Joeās. The majority of the flavor is on the finish chocolate and cherry notes.

Mild acidity, good amount of earth, and little bit of allspice, white pepper. Heavy alcohol on the nose, which is a major turnoff. Overall it's not bad, but I don't like it at the modest (and always sketchy) $15 price point. Better off finding something light and easy in the single digits or opening the wallet to buy something that's actually good.
Update: the fragrant alcohol softened after two days. Improved the overall character of the wine significantly.
