Costco find that didn’t live up to the billing: this was VDP level stuff, very blue fruited w/garrigue herbs, but thinned out on palate through to uneven finish. This lacked balance & concentration of flavors - overpriced @ $15

Tropical fruits. Sort of oxi tone, sherry like. Even in the nose already there. Strong bitters. Acids in the after taste with bit of sweet.

Managing expectations are so important with drinking wine. For lots of reasons I was not expecting a lot from this wine. However from the first sniff I was pleasantly proven wrong (something I rather enjoy). Strong rich fruit with a slight oak background. The taste is quite complex with fruit and leather and spice (reminds me a lots like a good southern Rhone). It feels very silky in the mouth and overall very balanced.
