Insane extract and depth. Nutty with orange marmalade and flowers. Length for light years. Consumed as I walked into #fairthewell under a perfect Santa Clara Sunday evening so that may have increased the joy radiating from this 500ml!

1st time I've tried this, extremely aromatic, with Gewürz characters, but after that it goes in a different direction, the phenolic bitterness on this wine is so off putting, it has a metallic character to it that is hard to ignore. Possibly some food pairing, but not so pleasant.

Aromatically complex and compelling, subverting the usual grandmother's perfume/rose/lychee with a more herbal and earthy reflection of each. While not as much of a show stopper as the nose, the palate is layered with orange marmalade and dried citrus, mint and a touch of broth. Dry, and with a texture and finish that go on for dayz. Really, really interesting.

Dense and concentrated (stone fruit, radish, asparagus) but a disappointingly short finish. Still enjoyable in a hedonistic sort of way.

Dry, full bodied, powerful expression of Wachau Traminer. More in common with Alsace Gewürtz than the few Südtirol wines I've had. Excellent, even if just a bit hot.

This was really fun. Great bottle. Deep yellow, almost orange. Dry. Lovely. Interesting.
