The 2019 Grand Vin is a Malbec with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from Vistalba and Las Compuertas and was barrel-aged for 16 months in 50% new oak. A vivid purple in the glass. The complex nose delivers dark fruit, plum, redcurrant, oak and stock hints. Creamy and broad with a fairly smooth texture and grippy, finely-grained tannins. Iron fist in spiked leather glove. Big, licorice-y, mostly Malbec...but saved by its 100+ year-old-vine lift, refinement and balance. An NFL left tackle in a tutu.

Beautiful malbec blend from the lujan de cuyo region in Mendoza. Malbec, cab sav, merlot; 85/10/5. Big, bold, inky, and chewy. More Layers revealed after open for an hour.

Simply ridiculous. Brooding depth of flavors ranging from dark fruits to vanilla to town and set eased out over time. A pleasure to drink.

This is yummy. Full bodied, nice finish. Needs some air though. And is better as you drink it.
