Ripe Pinot notes with raspberry and a hint of charcoal. Sappy stalky and sweet. More fruity than farmyard with soft tannins. Still developing at 11 years of age. Good wine. 2005 vintage. Tasted again on 12 Dec 2016 this time showing a touch of oxidisation. Very tawny rim. Cannot see the point of cellaring if I had any left - last of 6.

So young but a lot going on. Funky as all hell in a good way.

From the acclaimed 2005 vintage this burgundy shows cherry overtones. A fragile palate which seems to change minute by minute. A vibrant enjoyable wine travelling with ease.

In the context of a long pinot lunch, this was one of my favourites. It’s still very young and primary, but it’s full of smooth, velvety weight. Plush. So full of potential. Opposite end of the scale to the Tapanappa Definitus, but delicious.
