Very dry with a noticeable alcohol hit. I found it very different from the descriptions I had read that spoke of blackberry blah blah. I found fruity aromas, but flavor reminiscent of leather and tobacco. A masculine glass, but not in the sense of the overly tannic cabs on the market. This could pair well across a wider spectrum.
