One of my favourite Malbec producers prior to changing winemakers. This is a big,”in your face” juicy wine that remains well structured and balanced. Begins with ripe dark plums, blackberries, blueberries and cassis. Notes of stewed dark fruit. Hints of dark chocolate and vanilla followed by anise, and soft cooking spices. The tannins are medium and long lasting. Plush, elegant and smooth finish. Served with home made butter chicken. 15% alcohol.

Comparable to the 2007 vintage, maybe a few corks ahead, but cases behind the 2004. Still, my Malbec of choice, and now priced as an everyday gem.

Fermented in French oak vats and 20 months aging in 2nd use french barrels. Aromas put me back in Aus, eucalyptus leaf and herbal. Deep color, subtle spice after 4 days opened - still holding on.

Huge fruit and flavor. Buttery if you can believe it. What a Malbec should be!!!

Top 3 malbecs I've ever had. Nose is sweet and hints of dark fruit. In the mouth the dark fruit hits you with smooth velvety mouth-feel and a very full blackberry flavour. Hints of cinnamon and bark. Finishes very well and long.

Intense, teeth-staining, black fruit and tannins that will rip your face off. Blinded as a New World Cab/Shiraz blend.
