Black Slate Porrera Vi de la Vila Priorat Garnacha Blend

The first wine I had that made me realize I truly love wine and want to explore Spain.

Complex with earth, herbaceousness, pipe tobacco, blackberry and boysenberry. High level of tannins. Delish but needs time.

Too much fruit. Too little complexity and sophistication. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

Super ripe blackness and blueness with a big dose of oak. I can smell the rocks on the steep hillside vineyards of the Priorat.

Good complexity, spice, chocolate, earthy, dried roses, full bodied.

I love this wine. Every year. Spicy dark fruits, tiny amount of bitter mocha, tobacco-ish hints, lots of texture but not too much earth (not for me anyway). Surprised me at how young it still tastes. If you get one get a second to lie down a few years. Goes with most food and any person who drinks dry reds should fall in love. Really pretty and delicious, but I wanted a little more structure.
