2018 vintage. Located in Ludon, with famous neighbours La Lagune and Cantemerle. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (42%) and Cabernet Franc (3%). A bit timid on the nose, the fruit hidden by cedar wood and a hint of coffee. Medium-bodied with bright cassis fruit and impeccable freshness. Needs time to balance out the oak, but everything is in place. A little patience required, but another fine Bordeaux value at 14 euros.

I feel as though I need to get back to my first love, BORDEAUX. This $19.99 bottle of wine is well worth it. The first whiff of this beautiful Bordeaux has got my mouth watering. The nose has brought out fantastic dark fruit, stewed prunes, raisins, and blackberries. There is also bakers chocolate, vanilla and sweet tobacco. On the palate the dark fruit continues through, I get black currant, blackberries, prunes, tar. The great fruit flavors and medium body blend well with delectable tannin and earth notes with hints of spice. Very drinkable now and should work for for another 5-8 years. Super at this price point.

Massive QPR for a $25 bordeaux. Dark cherry, some cassis, a faint taste of raisins. White pepper and a nice balanced acidic structure. Great stuff.

Fantastic Bordeaux! Great legs, tannins way in the back. Blackberry, tobacco, raisin, slight acid notes. Super drinkable. Light but not subtle.

About as oaky as the national parks in California! I think there are a lot of oak trees there... Yum to the tum.
