Apr 8th, 2019Mid Crimson with a pale rim. Earthy aromas with a touch of tar. Has been made in a modern way using French Barriques although the oak influence does not intrude. A more powerful palate than expected given the 80% Barbera 20% Nebbiolo blend. Fully developed - tannins have settled down. Bought at "Grande Vini", a wine shop in Alba in October 2015.

May 14th, 2017Aging beautifully! Celebrating our 10yr anniversary. No rush to drink. Opened 45 min before drinking. Rose petal and cherry aromas. More cherry, raspberry, and mushrooms on the palate. Drank with blue cheese crusted filet mignon, butternut squash, and roasted veggies, excellent!

Nov 19th, 2020April 4, 2020. Supposed to be in Barolo this weekend, wine-ing with friends. Instead, sequestered at home watching Barolo Boys and drinking this. Movie was mediocre (great scenery!), wine was exceptional. What can I say? Hoping the world heals soon and we can make the 🇮🇹 trip next year!

Apr 7th, 2020Decanted for a hour. Amazing! Plum, BlackBerry, violet, hibiscus, leather, tar, and a touch of smoke. 80% Barbera and 20% Nebbiolo. So freaking good. And definitely overkill for pizza hut stuffed crust pizza Haha
