Well, the label leaves a little to be desired but don't judge a book by its cover, right? Floral aromatics that I would never have expected from a 60 merlot/20 cab franc/20 cab sauv wine. Soft, tiny tannins with light balanced acidity. Very good

Muddy tar, burnt chocolate, and ginkgo funk. This wine exhibits a volcanic and acrid burnt character that borders on oxidization or brett, but isn't actually either. Instead, I think it is simply the funky bunch, and Marky Mark my words, it's underwear is showing. The wine tastes fine, with a milk-like velvety mouthfeel (you will keep thinking Brett, but wrong again) and firm, mostly fruit tannins that leave you satisfied, if a little miffed. "Rivery" fare, like funky foam caught in a river bend, but oddly compelling, despite the detritus. Stemmy now, funky forever, and milk chocolate cherry,plum, and black currants burnt in Vulcan's hovel-trailer down by the dirty crick. Take off your shoes and socks and shirt, and put on your leather pants, cuz it's gonna be a long and dirty night.

Dec 30th, 2012First nose hit is an explosion blasting of black powder mellowing to burnt dark chocolate cast against a pot of mashed rutabaga strangely accented by cherry - a dirty mix not match - "it makes me wonder..." All that lingers, as I pull a first blush taste across and through my lips letting it pool while its vege tannins play water polo with the fruit ultimately merging into a tie that settles nicely but with a less than fortunate short finish - spent from the unresolved conflict where the action above succumbs to the tredding battle below the rim. If you are able or even interested swimmer, then take a shallow dive into this sweat weathered pool, nasty but rewarding...

Nez assez complexe sui ouvre sur des fruits rouges bien mûrs. Bien équilibré en bouche, robuste, avec des tanins présents. Ce vin est capable de vieillir encore quelques années.
