Value Burgundy. Always fun to explore and find the gems, hidden or otherwise. A pale lemon color in the glass. An incredible nose for such a humble Mâcon. Pears start the show off with subdued lemon zest and a touch of banana. With more time in the glass notes of white flowers and white tea begin to dominate. Toast and honeysuckle are present.
This isn’t a wine that tries to wow you or be something that it’s not. What it is is a really pretty Chardonnay with enough personality to win you over gradually. Pleasing acidity and a nice backbone of minerality. On the tongue , the palate closely follows the nose with more citrus fruits along with dried nuts and honey. Quite stoney even with a lack of tension. Quite the charming little Mâcon.
