If there is a better match in this world for lobster than aged Chenin, I haven’t found it yet. This off-dry wine has tremendous pretty florals as it opens. Some nice minerals and just enough acid to keep it interesting.

Round, plush, and deceptive with its acidity. The RS makes this extremely cushy and soft in mouthfeel. Golden apples, ripe pear, tea, a touch grippy and phenolic on the finish.

Pretty wine. Off dry character suggests better pairing with Foie Gras than as aperitif per my tastes.

A new one to me, and I loved it. Not shy on sweetness but lovely fresh acidity, fresh apple & grapey fruit and a grapeskin texture with a very slight, pleasant lactic quality. Great drink. Slightly guessing vintage; forgot to record it.
