Well produced Chenin, with effervescent chamomile, honeycomb, pear, and cheese rind. Definitely some some residual sugar which should make this a popular wine. I can handle a little r/s but personally more enjoyable when accompanied with laser-edged acid.

The limestone pokes through in a brilliant acidic manner and cuts through the scotch tape/honeyed pear skin/styrofoam aromas, but the palate has a blip of honey before being cleaved in three by that samurai acid. Man this is great! And yes, that's pizza. Second time doing this pairing, and let only he/she who has tried the pairing cast the first stone--because it's one of the weirdest, most instant gratification pairings out there. The Chenin stands on top the tomato pretty squarely.

Seriously good wine from a top notch producer! Ripe mandarine, mango, melon all lathered in honey to go along a huge mineral note. Ripe yet so fresh. Don't serve this too cold!! #cheninblanc #loire

Chamomile for days. Minerals, mossy, pear, bruised green apple. Acid slightly more subdued than what I was expecting. Formidable length. A joy.

2013. Wow! Laser like acidity. Bright and chalky. From his "young" vines ca. 50yrs
