Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
2018 vintage.
39 % Merlot, 21 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 14 % Syrah, 12 % Malbec, 10 % Cabernet Franc and 4 % Petit Verdot. Always a secretive blend. You don’t know the varietal mix and percentages until you peel back the foil from the bottle neck. It changes every year.
Bright ruby red with aromas of red cherry, milk chocolate and cocoa spice.
Medium bodied with still fresh acidity.
Blackberry, red plum, dark cherry with a bit spicy finish

Full and bold. It’s like a grade 7 math teacher who’s trying to make an example out of the cocky new students by testing their knowledge of BEDMAS.

The 2006 vintage really has aged gracefully. Velvety burgundy colour. Opens up beautifully after 40 min to 1hr. Has dark fruit, berries, plums, and notes of lavender. Hints of softened white and black peppers. Mild leathery mouth feel with medium bodied, smooth tannins. Very well structured. Laughing stock is one of my favourite wineries and this blind trust is proof of the longevity of their wine.

Jul 14th, 2017This red blend shows a great characteristics of Cab Sav's full body, Cab Franc's mellow, merlot's easy. It's a little on the heavy side but goes well with a heavy meal (steak/lamb). Very savoury!
