It's 80% merlot-20% CS. It's $12. Splurge on a great steak w/fries...a rack of lamb w/tomato-onion tart...alongside a goat cheese champagne vinegar green salad. You're a frugal wine/gourmand.

Purplish ruby color. Black fruits, earthy, spicy, bit of vanilla. Medium acidity and medium tannins. This wine is generic by négociant house Barrière Frères. They are the commercial arm of Grands Millésimes de France, owner of Château Beychevelle and Château Beaumont. You can tell that by the label referring to its prestigious relative. Assamblage 65% Merlot, 35% CabS (as per technical sheet) or 72%/28% M/CS as per label on the bottle. Easy ordinary if not to say dull wine with retail price tag around €8. Rating 3,3/5
