After the disappointment with the '93, I had marginally higher hopes for the medium amber '97 Stonestreet Chardonnay. Although not oxidized like its sibling, this oldie was like sucking on a popsicle stick. It has been mercifully put out of its misery.

Sep 29th, 2014The 3rd Chard found in my forgotten wooden case was the dark amber '93 Stonestreet Chardonnay from Sonoma County. This one had an oxidized nose even though the cork was pristine. It's now winding its way through the local sewer system.
