Fleshy fat blend. Nice spice to complement the black fruit. Generous ripe tannin but could have used a bump in acidity.

RHW has a spectacular view overlooking Napa's Rutherford bench. The founders believed the soil and climate was similar to Pomerol, so they were one of the first to plant Merlot. A classic blend with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to give the wine some depth and aged for about 16 months on French oak. Dark berry aromas fragrant spice with cherry and tart raspberry on the palate with notes of cinnamon and cacao. Tannins are a little big, medium finish ending with a little oak edge.

Very good wine. Easy to drink with complex flavors. Not sure of the blend but would definitely buy again
