While the '07 Burg the other night was lacy and ethereal, this is just a bit thin and mean. It's not weedy or underripe in aroma, but the acid is a bit too firm for the (lack of) fruit concentration.

Black cherry, cinnamon, pomegranate, and a touch of VA. Interesting red fruit character that is a bit oxidized. Fig, dried cherry, chocolate, some balsamic with a touch of cooking spices. Alcohol is a bit warming. Pretty good stuff albeit a touch on the wild side.
