Solid Bourgogne. Very very solid Bourgogne. Drinks perhaps like an older village from Gevrey, deeper than one would expect and more delicious than I wanted it to be.

Bit young but elegant, classic black cherry and blackberry, well rounded. May save the remaining bottle for a couple of years to let the tannins mellow. Producer to watch.

Feb 22nd, 2016In pursuit of the perfect Bourgogne. Interesting contender — showed up to the party a bit late and needed time/air to open up and shine. Vosne-like nose with brutally dark cherry and flowers. On the palate delivered green-ish tannins and surprisingly pleasant finish.
