Disjointed and all over the place. The only way I can describe it is "out of tune." A little dark chocolate and cassis, mixed with underripe strawberry and dill. Barnyard, drying paint, and orange juice concentrate occasionally flare up. All that said, this has me curious to try the wine in a good vintage.

2005 vintage. Andolsen Vineyard. Deep garnet color. Violet, earth, and a touch of sage on the nose. Blackberry, fig and a touch of black pepper on the palate. Tightly wound at first, but has opened up quickly.

A great effort for a 2011 Sonoma Cabernet. Obviously a tough year, they roughed it out. This could stand to rest another year or so, but shows potential so far. Nice tannin and acid with a wood profile.

Open for 3 days before I tasted it, but still quite nice.

Smokey notes on the nose. Oak, smoke, bacon fat on the rich palate. Delicious and big.

Dark purple color. Aromas of sage, cherries, vanilla, and toast. Additional flavors dried cherries, chocolate, and cassis. Big tannins, round mouthfeel. Long finish. Excellent! Makes me miss Sonoma!
