Not what I expected. Bold, generous, and polished (Parker Wine). It's plausible my palette is a little shot from drinking hot, rustic old world reds, because I would never place this wine as Tuscan (I'm guessing in part due to the absence of Sangiovese). Little to know terroir. Internationalist.

Solid wine. Quite intense. Dark fruit. Still quite a big wine. This is a 1.50 liter. 14.5% al. Big fruit and tannin.

Pretty typical Parker wine... Big fruit and tannin, lots if oak, not my personal style of Italian wine but enjoyable nonetheless.

Lovely elegant robust wine, deep dark color, nose is rich complex and gratifying with notes of coffee, cherry, mint, cider wood and a touch of graphite, medium to full body with firm tannins, great acidity, a nice long elegant finish. Well done and still young. My score 89, drink to 2027
