Super interesting. The nose is sweet wet straw, cantaloupe rind, steel, wet cement, and quince. The palate delivers honey, lemon, white pepper, lemon, bitters, ripe cantaloupe, fresh ginger, and petrol notes. Low alcohol and high acid.

Energetic with great tension. Highly aromatic with potpourri of aromas of orchard and stone fruits, apple blossom and an unmistakable mineral vein which electrifies this wine. One of the best Alsatian wines I have tasted.

Smått stoikig blandning, men måste vara en majoritet Riesling i denna Alsace. Behöver tid i glaset, lite för ungt för att drickas kanske.

Shitloads of badanka, blommighet, grapefrukt, moget päron och en lätt touch av citron. Överraskande smakrikt "on the palett".

Alsace levererar!

Proof that white wines can age well. Beautiful gold color. Wonderful creamy mouthfeel. Rich taste of golden delicious apples and honey. Long finish of ripe stone fruit and apples.

This wine is slightly effervescent, with nectarine and almond on the pallet. If judging only complexity, this wine is over priced. While it is certainly delicious and has some nice subtle nutty notes, I've had more interesting Alsatian whites at half the cost (and I bought this on sale). This wine came across a bit hot and didn't have the ass to back it up. Definitely serve chilled. $20 cheaper I'd give it a 9.2.

Marcell Deiss is breaking all the rules in Alsace, and we are very thankful that he is!!
This is true Alsatian dryness and balance. Not sweet, not fruity... Dry and almost crisp,a light clover blossom herb to it, without the floral notes.
