Dits del Terra Priorat Carignane

Great balance of fruit, earth and spice. Texturally complex, with well knit tannins that hold their posture from front to back. Baked plum, stewed wild berries, allspice dram, clove, salumi rind, truffle, menthol, tar. Constantly evolving

It's held up well over the 7 years from vintage but feels a little soft, interesting violet candy aromas and very grapey and plumny fruit. Some dusty stone mineral notes appear in the nose but get lost on the palate. Must just be the warm year.

Came out reduced and required ample aeration to open up. Ripe brambly berries, baked plums, hot stones, crushed rock, singed cast iron, fresh tar, cured meat, dried flowers, cinnamon, star anise, sweet brett. Classy and suave, there’s considerable energy and elegance in its texture. Burgundian if you will. Just the right amount of “dirty” adding layers and depth to a beautiful wine.

Mag. Excellent, dark fruit, elegant and restrained, hasn’t quite shed its tannic austerity on the finish. I don’t always drink Priorat, but when I do...

Beautiful. With veal. Love the aromas. Plums and cassis. Falls a bit flat in the mouth.

I heart Priorat

The nose is so feminine and perfumed with dark fruits, savory spices, and earth. Fuller bodied and structured with gripping tannins. Vineyard has southern orientation=warmer=more massive expression of Carignan
