We had fun coming up with the descriptors of the nose on this one. Twizzler, cherry cough drops, you get the idea. typical of very ripe picking that Roar is known for.

Wow yes a long week in wine Bizz! Now fun begins, trying 2 great Roar 2014's Pinot. Pisoni vs Rosella. The Pisoni 2014 is Awesome! Even a Big Wow in my book. Bright Cherries rich Berry flavors and good acidity it always tough doing Brother vs Sister from the same Family! My initial review gives this a CB 98! Available in tiny quantities. We are at Bedtime ( mine at least) 2 hours later! This great wine started to fade! Be Aware! Still same press!

Very surprised by this. Purchased almost 10 years ago and stored where I didn't have access to it. A little porty but still nice fruits with more evolution. My palate changed years ago though.

Oh boy, how do I handle this wine. Having it young was too intense to drink, having at some point later seemed to be over the hill but now thinking that was a flawed bottle. This one was excellent with a ton of dark fruits mainly blackberries, plumbs and others. Also, had some cola and wood notes. Excellent from start to the long finish. Think it could go for some more years but why bother when drinking so great now. This is my last bottle and that’s fine since I’m an old guy and can’t be buying expensive wines that you need to hold for 10 plus years

I brought this wine to dinner almost as a joke, since I stopped buying the Pisoni PN and trashed this Vintage years ago. To my surprise this turned out to be quite nice with a lot of dark berries and nice smooth finish. There was a lot of wines at the dinner so had a bit leftover. The second day it was okay but developed a bit of vinegar notes on the nose and taste but sill had blackberries and blueberries all around. Have one bottle of the 2011 which I will get to shortly.

Oy Vey, where to start with Roar Pisoni. Drinking young its like an over the top Zin, letting it age more than about 5 years its just gets old fast and not enjoyable. Anyway, on opening it had a vinegar nose, some muddled fruit notes and a short finish. Considering the wines costs I decanted a couple of times and the vinegar nose never when away but got mixed with some plum notes. The taste was pleasant but remained muddled and still had the short finish. Boring wine for sure and have 2 more older bottles to see about.
