Had this a few times, but I was finally able to sit down and analyze it over an evening. Their only cuvée produced in 2014.

Upfront, rollercoaster aromatics initially…rich, then mellowed out with an hour of air. After a few hours of air, a much more ripe CdP profile came out. Great bridge wine from Cali GSMs to bigger CdPs. Deep red in the glass with aromatics of fig, brambly red and black fruits. On the palate, big but not unbalanced. No trace of brett. Soft fig, muddled underripe black cherry, garrigue (smoked herbs); lengthy finish. Kiss of black pepper. Big Grenache vibe here. Lovely with air. Probably best in the near term based on the fruit forward structure.

Nice 2015 CNdP. Needed a day to settle down, and served slightly above cellar temperature. Solid structure, medium acidity, savory and nice mid-palate secondary flavors.

Super primary at this moment. On the nose: lingonberries, blackberries, anise, wet asphalt, garrigue and some deli meat. On the palate, black brambles...all of the blackberries, with a little black pepper and leather. There’s a lot of structure here. Super tannins; drying. Lovey acid. Finish lasts for minutes. Best yet to come.

2011 vintage lotta oxidation (aldehyde s) maybe a bad cork or going over the hill or bad storage seems to be some spice in the mouth brick on the edges - not fun

90 points like everything on delectable! Actually delicious wine from a decent vintage. Drinking excellent right now. Pretty Magenta color. Complete CdP nose with pepper, rose petals, garrigue, strawberry and spice. Soft and supple. Just a great wine. Blackberry, sage and fresh green tobacco emerge over time

Best part of this complex, earthy CDP was that it was the first time one of my daughters had such a wine. A memorable palate-expander for her. Great choice by John Lancaster at Boulevard last night.

Classic cdp on the nose, which is exciting. Rocks, scorched earth, black tea, leather, tobacco, soy, dried cherry, blackberry, smoked meats. Amazing texture, viscosity, and acidity. This is not a spiked, flabby and jammy cdp like most of what I am seeing now. Pure dark earth and dark fruit, and intense minerality ok the finish. This is a wine to ponder over. As it opens sweeter spices emerge... It makes a marked evolution in the glass in a very interesting way.

Not my thing. Dark jam. Heavy on the palate. Tannic.
